HAAS Machines Magnetek GPD503 to Yaskawa GA800 Retrofit

There is a large base of active HAAS CNC machines, and a lot of them have been in service for at least a couple of decades now. If you are one of those proud HAAS machine owners that are looking for ways to update the machine with contemporary electronics, we have good news for you.

Based on a number of requests from our customers, we have developed a series of retrofit kits that allow replacing the aging Magnetek GPD503 drives with modern Yaskawa GA800 units. Interested? We thought so too.

Benefits of HAAS Machine Retrofit

There are some obvious benefits to retrofitting your HAAS machines with the GA800 drives:

• Compared to Magnetek GPD503 units, Yaskawa GA800 drives are built with modern and efficient components that will allow for much more refined electronic practices. These new drives are more robust and reliable and are less likely to break down mid-cycle during operation.
• Yaskawa GA800 drives come with a host of new functionality that was simply not available with the older electronics. Compatibility with Bluetooth and DriveWizard Mobile software are among those new features, and they improve the interaction, as well as the ease and convenience of drive monitoring dramatically.
